Patricia Arquette has now accepted two top acting statuettes (at the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards) wearing glam couture from Escada and Vivienne Westwood, respectively. But when she attends the Oscars on Feb. 22, she’ll be wearing a custom gown from someone even more special: longtime pal Rosetta Getty.
“We’re old friends,” she tells PEOPLE at THEWRAP’s 6th Annual Pre-Oscar Event at The District in L.A. “We’ve been best friends for a long long time and she happens to be an amazing designer so I just thought I would be most comfortable in someone I love’s design.”
The Boyhood star has put all of her trust into Getty and as of now, has no idea what her dress looks like — not even the color! “I haven’t even seen it or a drawing or anything yet,” she says.
While Arquette may bring home the Oscar, she won’t be bringing her son [Enzo, 26] to the ceremony as a good luck charm, but that’s his choice. “My son doesn’t want to go,” she says. “He’s really kind of just a more private person so he’s going to watch at my house with a bunch of friends. My daughter [Harlow, 11] may come.”
